LANrev updated for Leopard, supports Time Machine

LANrev L-P have announced 4.6, an update to its web lifecycle direction software system for Macintosh os Ten and Windows networks. The new release is expected to transport before the end of November.

LANrev is aimed at web decision makers and system directors who are responsible for managing heterogenous webs of Macs and Windows computers. It consists client, admin and waiter components, and enables nett admins to manage client direction — auditing connected systems, maintaining corporate conformity and updating them with new software.

New to LANrev 4.6 is support for Macintosh os Ten v10.5 “Leopard.” LANrev can work with Leopard’s “Time Machine” relentless stand-in software, according to the developer — LANrev can be used to trip manual stands-in and restores without requiring users to boot from a different volume. LANrev also centrally retrieves Time Machine information across the network, returning information such as a stand-in snapshot lists, free space available and other information.

Administrators can also trip a Time Machine stand-in to happen before installing new software, thus enabling them to “roll back” the Macintosh to the former installing if any jobs occur.
